Programme Launch For Ranelagh Arts Festival
9th September 2005
The programme for the first ever Ranelagh Arts Festival will be launched
at an event in Lios na n-Óg primary school, Oakley Road, Ranelagh
at 6pm on Monday, 12th September 2005
The programme will be introduced by Terry Connaughton and Deirdre McIntyre, two members of the Ranelagh Arts Festival organising committee. All committee members will be in attendance, along with a number of the artists featured in the programme.
The historic Lios na n- Óg building was chosen as the venue for this event, in keeping with the Festival’s aim of celebrating Ranelagh, past and present: the building housed the first ever gaelscoil in Ireland, founded by Pádraig Pearse in 1908.
Light refreshments will be served at the event. You are invited to
attend, or send a representative.
ENDS.
