A play based on the number 18 Tram

Those of you who remember the film "Rooney" will also recall the number 12 bus John Gregson was on being transformed into a number 18 when it turned right into Ranelagh at the Triangle instead of left, and the effect that that had on you.

Thirty years earlier in The Octodeciad, Carolan presented us with the reverse of this when the 18 tram jumped its tracks at Belgrave Square and carried its screaming passengers and crew into the dreadful publess wastes of Palmerston, never to be seen alive again.

Through the eyes of Rathgar Man, exploring Ranelagh for the first time, we learn of the events leading to the gathering of a few brave men and their final battle with the forces of evil in the demon tram and the monsters who rode in it.
