Monster Treasure Hunt

This year the Ranelagh Arts Festival have organised a Treasure Hunt with a fantastic prize worth over €200 for the winner. There are twenty clues, mostly cryptic. The first nineteen have to be solved by Sunday 27th September when the final will be announced in Ranelagh Gardens. The solutions all relate to locations in Ranelagh.

The first clue is easy. Where in Ranelagh would you Park ten helicopters? If you have the answer and wish to participate come along to the festival office at 26 Ranelagh with a €5 registration fee and you will receive a further 18 clues.

Ranelagh Team for Croke Park

It’s a bit of a turn up for the books that in an area that’s a hotbed of Rugby, Snooker and Football not to mention Golf, Sailing and Tennis (and of course national hunt horse-racing) that a team from Ranelagh will be heading for Croke Park on the 24th of September. It’s a great honour for the Ranelagh Arts Festival to be taking part in ‘The Prestigious Pride of Place’ Competition. Already winners of The Dublin City Council South East Area Competition they will be going forward to The Dublin Area Finals and hopefully on to Croke Park for the All-Ireland Finals on September 24th, (a date which corresponds neatly with the festival). Pride of Place is sponsored by ‘Co-operation Ireland’ and is an All-Ireland Competition whose aim is... ‘To recognise and celebrate the vital contribution that community groups make to society.’
