Ranelagh Arts Festival 2006

Celebrity Barmen in Ranelagh!

Ken Doherty & Ciarán Tourish

You're more used to seeing him leaning over a snooker table than pulling pints behind a bar, but on Tuesday, 5th September 2006, Ken Doherty - world champion snooker player - took on the role of barman in McSorley's pub, Ranelagh, Dublin 6.

Ken and traditional fiddler player Ciarán Tourish posed as barmen in aid of Ranelagh Arts Festival 2006 with all proceeds from the drinks they served going towards financing the Festival.

The programme for the Festival was also launched on the night.

If you missed this event, don't miss your chance to see Ken at our opening night, and see Ciaran playing with his band during the festival.
